The Mutua Madrid Open launches it’s ’20 years in Madrid’ campaign

With less than a month until the start of the 2022 Mutua Madrid Open, which takes place in the Caja Mágica from 26 April to 8 May, the tournament has launched a new marketing campaign in celebration of its twentieth anniversary, taking a look back at the impressive stats the tournament has left in its wake in the Spanish capital over the last two decades.

How many spectators have visited the Mutua Madrid Open? How many balls have been used? How many hours of tennis have been played? How many matches? Have there been a lot of aces? What about double faults? How many nights in hotel rooms have been occupied?

All of these questions are answered in the new Mutua Madrid Open campaign. Under the slogan ’20 years in Madrid’, the campaign takes us on a journey through all the stats the Mutua Madrid Open has accumulated during its 20 years in the city of Madrid, demonstrating the positive sporting, economic, social and touristic impact of the tournament, which has become one of the biggest events in the world, standing out on the tennis calendar as one of the main stops of the season.

The campaign was launched digitally on Thursday 31 March and from 1 April it will be seen on over 1,200 screens distributed around 28 shopping centres in the whole of Spain, on more than 255 screens in AVE and local train stations and on digital billboards in the main roads into Madrid. Later, the campaign will be visible on the streets of the Spanish capital on street ads and awnings.
